My morning started off with the 50-minute Wellness Compass , which is an assessment of where I stand healthwise. After a few quick balance tests–like standing on one leg and a cool machine that measured body fat and metabolism rates–and questions about my diet and workout routine, I was given a snapshot on the areas where I could improve and how to get to my target weight. While I was told I am on good track to get the results that I’m after (read: toning up), I was given some helpful advice, like eating more peanut butter after working out and adding in some exercises like yoga and Pilates to help with flexibility.
Just when I thought it was time to clean up and be done with the treatment, a full-body massage was next on the agenda. All in all, there wasn’t a single step overlooked in this treatment and my entire body felt totally rejuvenated and renewed.
So the next time I am asked what’s a must-do in Miami, a trip to the Carillon Spa is definitely on the can’t-miss list.
